Velune is operated by Fleeq, which also runs fleeq.net. Legal notices, and anything arising from these terms, go to [email protected], which is the point of contact for this site.

You must be at least 16 years old to post. Reading is open to anyone. If you are posting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind it to these terms.

Only writing that is yours to publish. By posting you confirm that you wrote it, or that you hold the rights to publish it here, and that publishing it breaks no law and no one else’s rights.

A short list of things are not published, and they are set out in full on the rules page. Everything else is welcome, including writing that is angry, grieving, profane or blasphemous.

You keep the copyright in everything you post. This site claims no ownership of your writing.

You grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute the piece on this site, and to render it as an image for sharing. The licence exists only so the site can show your work; it covers nothing else. It ends when the piece is removed, except that copies already shared by readers are beyond anyone’s reach.

Because nothing here carries a name, your work is published without attribution. That is the point of the site, and posting is how you agree to it.

Every submission is read by an automated system before it appears. No human reviews it first. The system is described on the rules page, and when it declines a piece it gives the reason it recorded.

It will sometimes be wrong in both directions. If a piece of yours is declined and you believe that was a mistake, write to [email protected] and a person will look at it. Nothing is published without review: if the reviewer cannot be reached, submissions are held rather than published unread.

• —Posted with an account: remove it yourself from your page, at any time.
• —Posted without one: you were given a one-time key. Keep it and you can remove the piece whenever you like. It is shown once and cannot be reissued — if it is lost, the piece stays up.
• —Anyone can report a piece for review, and reported work may be removed without notice.

Removal deletes the piece and everything attached to it. It cannot be undone, and this site keeps no copy for you.

Writing may be removed, and accounts suspended, where they break these terms or the rules, or where the law requires it. Where a piece of yours is removed, the reason is recorded and available to you. You may contest a decision at [email protected].

Every published piece carries a report link. Use it for anything that breaks the rules, including work published by someone who did not write it. Reports about copyright should identify the piece and the original, and give a way to reach you.

This is a small site, offered free and without warranty of any kind. It may change, break, or stop. Nothing here is guaranteed to be available, preserved, or backed up — keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost writing, or for what other people post. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumer rights under mandatory law are unaffected.

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the new version.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, and disputes are resolved first through good-faith negotiation.

If you are a consumer in the EU, none of that takes anything away from you: you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, you may bring proceedings in your own local courts, and you may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
